City of Angels

I've heard the song Angel since I was in senior middle school, but until now had I found the lyric and the original story behand this. Unlike many American soap story, it's really sad. Listening to the song, I found the lyric somewhat reflect my situation. Actually, it shows a feeling of struggling, lost and seeking for relief, which our kind of people often suffer. The lyric is listed below:

Spend all your time waiting
For a second chance
For a break that would make it OK
There're always some reasons
To feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distractions
Or a beautiful release
Memory seep from my vains
Let me be empty
And weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

In the arms of the angel
Fly away, from here
From this dark, cold room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line
And everywhere you've turned
There are vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting
You keep on building your lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference
Escape one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, ah this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of the angel
Fly away, from here
From this dark, cold room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here
You're in the arms of the angel

May you find some comfort here

Rather than finding any relief in the song, I feel even sadder listening to it. In the sweet madness, the glorious sadness......yes, it should be.
